NO CIGAR

Now available on all streaming services

Wesley Geiger

Nine years after the release of his debut album, El Dorado, Dallas-based singer/songwriter Wesley Geiger returns with his sophomore release, No Cigar. Here, the itinerant spirit of El Dorado has become rooted, even familial, and more studied and inquisitive than ever. The music is detailed, yet open. The influence of country music remains at the fore, but the writing is informed by a love of jazz harmony and classic pop melodies. There is a variety of textures and moods, created by a band of exceptional Texas musicians. The album was produced by Daniel Creamer, engineered by Matt Pence and recorded at the Echo Lab just outside of Denton, Texas. The songs on this record are joyful, lively, and occasionally reflective. They are born from finding hope and humor in the mundane, often difficult realities of life. They were written in the place where things didn’t go according to plan, where you are close, but no cigar.

Dancey Jenkins

Dancey Jenkins is the red haired alter ego of Daniel Creamer from The Texas Gentlemen. Influenced by the melodic/sardonic stylings of Harry Nilsson, Emitt Rhodes, and Randy Newman, he’s sure to put a smile on your face while simultaneously urging you to question what it really means to even have a mouth. His debut album “Nothingness” is now available everywhere for a hefty yet undoubtedly worthwhile fee.

Garrett Owen

Garrett was born in San Antonio but raised in East Africa (Tanzania and Kenya) and South America by career Missionary Parents but now resides in Fort Worth.

He won the 2018 Telluride Troubadour contest at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and was nominated for 4 Dallas Observer Music Awards in 2018, and for 2 more in 2020. He has released 2 full lengths and an Ep and 5 covers since his last full length release with a third full length in the works for 2024.

Dallas Observer - “he’s an agile intricate accomplished guitar player who sings honey dipped melodies about devastating turns of events. His pain soothes listeners, his performances leave audiences paralyzed”.
